Desiree Dolron | Xteriors

On this grey Sunday afternoon we admired an overview of the work of Desiree Dolron in the Singer Museum.

Through the light and photo editing, her ‘Xteriors’ series hardly look like photographs.

These beautifully hushed, sober portraits with faces fragile as porcelain evoke associations with paintings from the Flemish Primitives and Johannes Vermeer..
